Fannie Mae
At Fannie Mae, an innovative approach to solutions to the housing market are the foundation of the company. Fannie Mae has been accumulating public data for housing lending. data inquiry, and financial relations. This information was hidden in a convoluted means of Excel spreadsheet and several approvals across many pillars of the company. A fresh, UX driven approach was needed to bring this information to the forefront for not only the current users but also future users.
my role
As a UX consultant, I created a system that would be usable in an API for an upcoming hackathon. This hackathon was an opportunity to not only display the amount of information that was openly availble to the public but also the management system that was in already in place.
customer experience
An analysis of the extensive amount of data produced documentation of the different personas and how they would interact in the information architecture to be developed.
information gathering
A primary challenge was the desire to merge the IA of an analog system into one cohesive data reporting suite. In order to do so, the first step was gathering key stakeholders in one room to establish common pain points.
final delivery
In partnering with the key stakeholders for Fannie Mae, I developed a UX design to build from for their hackathon. I did this by:
Defining data usage for key personas
Conducted user research for data hierarchy
Develop UX and visual designs for delivery
